Could You Be The Next £1,000 Nurture Grant Winner?

It's back for a second year running! Open to talented young entrepreneurs local to Norfolk aged 16-25; the winner will not only receive £1,000 toward further education or a business idea but ongoing support by our very own seasoned business mentor, Simon Linstead.

Applicants need to submit 500 words to: outlining how they would benefit from the grant, a brief overview of their career aspirations, business idea or plan; what they hope to achieve should they receive the funds and how they would benefit from the ongoing mentoring.

Last year's winner, Dan Benton used the grant to purchase much needed equipment to develop his DJ business Bare Bass. The judges were impressed with the passion shown by Dan, who was working part-time at the Wonderland night club in Norwich in addition to studying his college course.

Dan Benton said:

"After finishing my A levels I began working in clubs, starting off collecting glasses and then getting to work behind the bar and seeing more of the event management side of things. Winning this grant is a huge help as it means I can be self-sufficient, with the right equipment, and use my links with musicians and clubs to start organising my own events."

Submissions should be made no later than the 14th March 2014 with the winner announced shortly after.
